UKSPA is a new, free community for individuals working in UK school photography: business owners, employees, freelancers and people just starting out. A place to share experience, find support and get practical resources.
School photography is its own kind of work, and a lot of people do it without anyone to compare notes with. UKSPA is a place for independent people and businesses to help each other.
Learn from people who have done the job for years, and pass on what you know. Most problems in school photography have been solved by someone already.
Somewhere to ask a question and get a straight answer from people who understand photo days, school relationships and parent orders.
Practical help with workflows, data protection, safeguarding and running a sustainable business, based on understanding your own costs and making your own decisions.
If you are new to school photography, a place to find out what good practice looks like before you have to learn it the hard way.

These are possible priorities, not services that exist yet. Whether and how UKSPA takes any of them on depends on what people tell us in the questionnaire.
There is no membership fee and nothing to buy.
Your name, email address and a password. No fees and no card details.
We send you a link so we know the address is really yours.
A few optional questions about your work and what would help you.
Resources appear there as they are published, and you can come back any time.
UKSPA is at its founding stage, started by a small group of people who work in school photography. The intention is an independent, member-led community, with its governance developed openly as more people take part. A Community Interest Company is the proposed structure; UKSPA has not been incorporated yet. More about UKSPA
